Speech Therapy

Speech Articulation 
Delays/ Disorders

Also known as speech sound delays/ disorders. Speech sounds may be characterized as sound deletions/omissions, additions, substitutions, distortions or  muffled. It's our goal to help your child improve his/her speech intelligibility and or  clarity. 

Receptive/ Expressive Language Delays/Disorders

When children have communication delays affecting comprehension/understanding of language or exhibits difficulties expressing wants, needs and thoughts with appropriate words/language, for their age, he or she may have a receptive and or expressive language delay. We would work to improve receptive (understanding) and expressive language skills to better communicate with others. ​

Pragmatics (Social) Skills

Pragmatics skills are the skills we use as we  engage in social interactions with others.  It involves the rules and use of language. This type of therapy is often used with individuals with Autism, who may need to work on social skills. 

Feeding/Swallowing 

When a child has difficulty eating and or drinking , a speech-language pathologist may be contacted  to help determine if there's a feeding and/or swallowing concern affecting nutrition and hydration. 

Scoop of Ice Cream

Fluency 

When a child exhibits dysfluent speech which is also known as stuttering, a speech-language pathologist may be consulted to assess and treat the  fluency disorder.
